Sasha Banks — real name Mercedes Varnado — walked out of WWE in May 2022 alongside Naomi after a creative dispute over their tag team titles. After departing WWE, she competed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, won the IWGP Women's Championship and signed with AEW as Mercedes Moné — "The CEO." Her AEW career featured high-profile matches and TBS Championship reigns, establishing her as a global star free of the WWE system.
