Finn Balor occupies a unique space in WWE. He is one of the most technically gifted wrestlers on the roster, a consistent performer capable of five-star matches, and the possessor of the most visually spectacular entrance in all of sports entertainment when the Demon persona emerges. His history with The Judgment Day adds complexity to every appearance. Balor created the faction, brought in Damian Priest and Edge, and built the foundation — only to be ejected by the group he founded. The Demon character, deployed sparingly since Balor's Universal Championship win at SummerSlam 2016, remains one of WWE's most arresting visual spectacles. From NJPW to WWE's Main Event
Finn Balor's journey to WWE began in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he competed as Prince Devitt and won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight and Heavyweight Championships. His time in NJPW forged the technical foundation and the Bullet Club connection that would follow him into WWE — Balor Club is indeed for everyone, as the t-shirt merchandise suggests.
His NXT run and quick elevation to the main roster resulted in one of the most dramatic Championship arrivals in recent history: Balor won the inaugural Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2016, only to relinquish it the next night due to a torn labrum suffered during the match. The injury interrupted momentum that looked destined to carry him to a prolonged main event run.
