Sakura Genesis booking
Takeshita called out Shota Umino saying he has some business that needs to be settled from the G1 last year where Shota beat him. So there is your Sakura Genesis match.
AEW Revolution (Hangman vs. MJF)
They were fighting next to the stage and they were doing that whole thing where a guy takes a punch and he teeters back and he's like 'whoa I'm gonna fall' which I fucking hate. And then like Hangman just grabs him and goes for like a belly-to-belly suplex off the stage... and these like cheap little sparklers and like miniature pyro start going off... it was so hokey and so fake and so stupid looking that it just killed the rest of the match for me.
Shota Umino's push
I think Shota Umino is making a lot of people look pretty stupid for giving up on him, maybe even including me... he's right there with Tsuji for a guy who comes off like a big future babyface star of this company.
NJPW booking predictions
I think it's Oiwa beating him [Takeshita] for the TV title at Dominion probably, but which again I could be wish-casting that because I'm gonna be there.
AEW Revolution critique
The pay-per-view on Sunday was way too long. Half the matches did not need to be on that show.
New Japan Cup review
Shota Umino defeating Zack Sabre Jr. in 25:38... this match is probably going to end up in my match of the year conversations. To me, this was by far the best match of the tournament.
G1 Climax logistics
I locked down a spot in the world famous Voices of Wrestling G1 Climax opening night suite... the price ended up being way cheaper than anybody expected. It's less money than I'm spending on a lot of wrestling tickets.
Yujiro Takahashi critique
Yujiro has the label and rightfully so of being a really not good wrestler and the worst wrestler on the roster, but he can still dial it up when he needs to. On every show I've been on, there's 10 people worse than Yujiro. I promise.
Online harassment/personal
I don't think they like doing it because John is so cringe or whatever, but I think they just like bullying queer people. That's my opinion for why I get that kind of hate.
Personal travel/baseball
I'm definitely going to see the Jays here in New York when they play the Yankees... and I'm going to see them also in DC because they happen to be playing at Nationals Park on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday before I'm going to be down there for Otakon.
