AEW/WWE industry outlook
How are things going to change over the course of the next 10 years with AEW still in the picture? How are companies like WWE going to adapt and adjust to AEW? Are they going to be a similar way like they did with WCW in the late 1990s? Will there be a counterpunch?
AEW Revolution
I actually picked it for timely reasons because we're recording this a few days before AEW Revolution, and the main event of that show is going to be a Texas deathmatch, and one of the ways to win a Texas deathmatch is by 10-count KO.
Wrestling booking tropes
It's funny how it went from like, this is how we're going to avoid actually having someone take a meaningful loss to we aren't ever going to do it. Instead, just going to have 18 run-ins to, you know, muddy the waters and make a knockout that way.
NJPW booking
Last year there was that Gabe Kidd Tsuji match that ended with a double KO where both guys couldn't answer the 10 count. And it was cool as hell because they beat the crap out of each other so badly that neither of them could get back up.
Rilo Kiley reunion
Rilo Kylie reunited last year for a tour. I don't think we're getting any new music from them, but never say never with that stuff.
Sneaker Pimps history
The band decided it was better with a female vocalist. So they got Kelly. And then after the tour, Kelly went on vacation. And the band was making the new album. And Corner and the other guy, Liam Howe, decided that they didn't want to be pigeonholed as the female vocal trip-hop band. So they fired her.
Radiohead/Music commentary
I'm basically the meme of Trent Reznor asking if everybody wants to have a good time and warning them no, that's the last band we're gonna have a real bad time.
