NXT Spring Breakin' 2027
Card Predictions
NXT's spring showcase always delivers — breakout performances, unexpected title changes and chaos. Who emerges from Spring Breakin' 2027 as the brand's new star?
NXT Spring Breakin' 2027 — Preview
NXT Spring Breakin' is the developmental brand's post-Stand & Deliver celebration — a two-night special event that traditionally marks the moment NXT resets its title picture heading into summer. With NXT's quality at an all-time high in 2027, Spring Breakin' has evolved from a stopgap event into a must-see occasion that routinely delivers the best in-ring action of any WWE special event.
The 2027 edition comes on the back of one of NXT Stand & Deliver's most talked-about editions, meaning championship reigns are fresh, feuds are hot and the card has multiple directions it could go. Here's how we see it shaping up.
Predicted Match Card
Trick Williams (c) vs. Oba Femi — Iron Man Match (30 min)
The defining rivalry of the NXT 2027 era reaches its apex. Trick Williams' charisma-fuelled reign has put him in the conversation with all-time NXT greats, but Oba Femi's freakish athleticism and relentless growth make him the most credible challenger on the roster. An Iron Man Match is the only stipulation that can truly settle this — 30 minutes to prove who is the better man, no excuses.
Giulia (c) vs. Lola Vice — Submission Match
Giulia's technical mastery against Lola Vice's striking-based offence creates one of wrestling's most fascinating style clashes. A Submission Match removes Vice's ability to win by KO — she must either submit Giulia via a hold or survive long enough to counter. Giulia's mastery of the Gory Special makes her the heavy favourite, but Vice's ground-and-pound can create submission opportunities from anywhere.
Je'Von Evans (c) vs. Josh Briggs vs. Eddy Thorpe — Triple Threat
Je'Von Evans has made the North American Championship his own through sheer excitement — but Spring Breakin' is where NXT loves to shake up the mid-card. Briggs provides the power game, Thorpe the technical edge, and Evans the supernatural athleticism. A Triple Threat gives creative flexibility to have Evans pin one man while the other protests — keeping the reign alive while adding an outstanding contender story.
Chase U (c) vs. The Creed Brothers — No DQ
Chase U's comedy-tinged championship reign gets its toughest test against the Creeds, whose amateur wrestling pedigree gives them a legitimate advantage on the mat. A No DQ match levels the field — allowing Chase's faction to get involved but also giving Julius and Brutus room to bring out the chain wrestling and power slams that the NXT Universe hasn't seen enough of lately.
Breakout Tournament Final — Top Prospect TBC
Spring Breakin' 2027 is the expected culmination of NXT's annual Breakout Tournament — the showcase for developmental's most exciting new signings. The winner earns a future championship opportunity and a permanent spot in the NXT hierarchy. This match is where the next generation announces itself — the 2027 edition has delivered several genuine standout performers across the tournament bracket.
Key Storylines Heading In
🎭 Trick vs. Oba — The Iron War
Their rivalry has transcended NXT and drawn main roster attention. Both men's stock has never been higher — making this the biggest NXT match of 2027 regardless of outcome.
⚔️ Giulia's Reign of Excellence
Giulia has been dominant, technical and captivating. Lola Vice is the one challenger who can match her strike-for-strike, submission attempt-for-submission attempt in a way no prior challenger could.
⚡ Je'Von Evans — NXT's Golden Boy
The North American title has elevated Evans from prospect to franchise. Spring Breakin' is where he proves the reign wasn't a fluke by surviving a three-way threat.
🏋️ Creed Brothers' Resurgence
Julius and Brutus Creed have been re-energised under NXT's revamped tag division. A title win here sets up a summer-long reign that puts the championships back on the most physically imposing team.
